Downtown Palo Alto Nightlife

It doesn't have the most exciting nightlife in the Bay Area, but its a great place to have a nice dinner and then go out for drinks and relax. Unfortunately, like everywhere else in California, the bars close early (2pm) and Palo Alto is no exception (some even close a bit earlier).

These places are not to be missed:

• The Wine Room - open til midnight and sometimes later, this quaint little house in downtown Palo Alto is great to bring friends and they always have a great menu with appetizers. The service is always great! 
• Mantra Restaurant & Lounge - the menu is divine for dinner, but even their cocktails will blow you away. They have a dual happy hour 7 days a week at 4:30-6:30pm and again after 9:30pm where all appetizers are just $7.
• Junoon - they were rated last year as one of the top 20 best new restaurants nationwide by Esquire. The cuisine is an Indian-fusion and the flavors are superb. It's got a great modern, sexy vibe and if you get an appetizer try the Tangy Semolina Shells with the Tipsy Lassi cocktail.
